My dear friend from the Bay Area's birthday is today!!!
Brooke and I were in the same ward and would get together to talk, do craft projects, and participated in the Iron Chefs that I started. We even spent the day in the City. Brooke I hope you have a great birthday. I miss you and your cute baby (toddler) Thank you for the fabulous recipe!!
I made her favorite recipe from Americas Test Kitchen and it is yummy!!! If you also make thai dishes often then you probably have fish sauce on hand. And you guys... I even bought a shallot for this dish. (I hardly ever do because they're expensive and sometimes I think not necessary). Brooke was right, the shallot gave it a sweeter, lighter taste. I also made this with rice and vegetables.
We had this dish the other day and it really was yummy. Whenever I have leftover basil I will make this. Brooke sent me the recipe via taking a picture of it. If you'd like it I can send it to you. I feel like a bad blogger if I just put the recipe on here because of copyright issues. If you have any ATK cookbooks I can tell you the sourcing as well.
So again, a "Thai-Style Chicken with Basil".
Thanks again for the recipe!! Have a great birthday Brooke and I'm glad we tried this yummy recipe.
